Okay so my MIL told me I need to blog more.. we really don't do much here.. how funny. When I came here, I thought I would be busy like last year doing all these cool things, but we kind of just stay in our apartment, go swimming, and go to the library. It is so hot outside, that unless I am going swimming, I really don't want to go outside, PLUS things are soo darn expensive! And when it isn't too hot, it is raining so hard that you would be drenched by the time you get to the car. soooo I am currently in the process of trying to figure out other things we can venture out and do because I am starting to get stir crazy! We did go to a beach on Sunday and the girls LOVED it! Bailee is tall enough that she could stand pretty far out (of course one of us responsible parents were RIGHT by her at all times). oh man the beach brings on a whole new adventure when you have two very mobile kids with you. It is fun to watch the girls having so much fun, but after about 30 minutes, I am exhausted and ready to go home. But the adventure doesn't end there.. we get home and we still have like 2 hours worth of clean up to do.. Sand everywhere! I am still finding sand on floors, in swimsuits, in kids hair- after like 5 baths and showers and swims. sheesh! I don't think we will frequent the beach too often in the future months :). Well here are some pictures to show you our mornings. I PROMISE I clean and pick up every night and I vacuum every day (the bugs and flies are horrible if I leave anything out!). but by lunchtime.. it looks like this :
The girls get out all of my kitchen things and use them as magic wands, baby spoons/dishes, drums, hats, jumping stones, and now I guess a puppy carrier? Oh and this is Afton's 4th choice of attire for the day. She usually does end up in her swimsuit, then we go swimming, then bathe and she gets in a few of her PJ's for the rest of the evening. funny girl.
Bailee will also end up at the table doing her own kindergarten class.. I guess today's schedule holds ballet classes by Bailee and Eloise. she later asked me how to spell "singing class school" so that must also be on the schedule.
Our dining room table usually has about 10x this amount by the end of the day! She just goes and goes with her drawing, writing, and making!
Notice the towels hanging on the back of the chairs? and I had to repair something on their toys this morning.. usually the sewing machine is put away.
And here is princess Afton about to ask me to make that blanket into a pillow for her tinkerbell baby.. so there you have it. This is what we do in the morning! And this... is what the girls were doing while I blogged... bailee wrote her own dog book a few days ago (it is kind of like "Go Dog Go" only shorter and it stars our little family as the dogs). Afton likes Bailee to read it to her a few times a day.

wow, for some reason bailee looks so much older in these pictures! i can't believe how fast your girls are growing up! I am glad you are enjoying florida, I am sure they love all the swimming!
I'm discovering that kids just makes messes! I know, duh! It's at least evidence that they are having fun and that you let them. That's adorable that Bailee wrote a story and reads it to Afton!
Thanks for blogging, I love it! You guys will be back before we know it. And maybe it will be warm here when you get home. Lots of rain and cold weather lately. Have fun!
