Bailee's friend party! (a TON of pictures)

Finally here are some pictures of Bai's friend strawberry shortcake party. FYI we didn't really do presents first, but I am too lazy to switch the order. There are a lot of pictures because I could not choose a few.. I like them all. this is of Bailee opening Afton's present. Afton doesn't know because she is too busy looking for some more Strawberry Shortcake fruit snacks in the empty bag.

We got her the cheap version of the swimming baby. I am quite impressed with it, though. We'll see how long it lasts, eh?

This is her adorable cousin, Spencer (Katie and Brodie's boy). He was so cute.. so excited to give her a littlest pet shop. Katie said that he thought of it all on his own because he knew that Bailee had a lot of them. Smart kid!
This is a friend that Bailee had in our old ward - I think it was the first girl that we met after we moved into that house, actually. I was glad she was able to make it and so was Bailee.
This is a girl that lived across the street from our old house. She practically lived at our house last summer and during off track of school. I probably miss her just as much as Bailee. We still try to see her, but it is different when she can't just walk across the street to play with us.
These are also girls from our old ward. Their mom will actually be Bailee's preschool teacher this year. They also took gymnastics with Bailee in Febuary and were the most welcoming to Bailee at church when we moved in. (Of course, their dad is in the bishopric and mom in the primary presidency so they have learned at a young age fellowshipping practices :)) very cute girls.
LOTS of running around the gym most of my pictures are blurry because of this.. they loved that hopscotch - thanks mom!
Okay.. i know kind of a wierd picture.. but I though Bailee's little dance move is pretty dang cute!
We were playing "Apple, Apple, Dumpling" and it was sooo funny. Bailee, Spencer, and Delia didn't know how to play at first and I tried to explain it. On our first "practice round," after I said "Dumpling" to one of the girls who knew what to do, Bai, Spence, and Delia all jumped up and started running ALL over the gym!! It took us a while to round them all up and try to explain it once more.. it was going pretty smooth by the end, except Delia just kind of did her own thing still.
Maren lives across the street from Dave and Sue's house. She was Bailee's very first friend. They are so fun together and she is very protective of Bailee. I love it! She gave Bai a Thumbellina dress up.. very fun!

That was our sweet guest appearance, Cherry Dumpling.. Bailee thought she was Apple Dumpling, but her dress had cherries on it so we compromised.
Pin the Leaf on the Strawberry. I forgot the blindfolds, so we had to cut some of the table cloths and use them.. most of the kids got them right on.. but we did help guide them. What a hot dad helping the kids. He was awesome.. had a rough start, but softened up once the kids got there. Don't tell him I said anything!


This was the lunch. I don't think I will do a meal at the next party - especially when it is in a gym. Hardly any of the kids ate anything because of all the distractions. I will tell you about the awesome meal, though. PB and strawberry jelly sandwiches made with pink bread and cut into the shape of strawberries. I also put raisins on them to look like seeds and green fruit roll up at the top for the leaf. Oranges, strawberry applesauce, strawberries, strawberry yogurt, and boppin strawberry juice box. I was pretty proud of myself for pulling that together. Anyway.. all in all it was a success. We also played a cakewalk game and pick up the fruit that fell off the tree (starbursts at the bottom of my decorative palm tree). Thank you Sue, Dan, and everyone else who helped make this party so much fun - even if it was just looking at these pictures!
