Thankful

Alright, I am going to write a post about some of the things I am thankful for. I don't have time or enough energy to type EVERYTHING, but I will put the things I feel strongly about right now. I know its not Thanksgiving yet and this may be a very boring post to read by others because it will be long, so I grant you permission to skip it if needs be. I am doing this for me because I have been very negative lately and am getting over a very yucky infection so I started to think about how happy I am that I only have occasional headaches and the rest of the time my body is healthy. So there's my first - health and ability to do pretty much anything physical that life requires me too. It is getting harder to carry Bailee, but I love that I am able to hold her and dance with her - her laugh is priceless when it gets tummy deep to where she can't swallow because she's laughing so hard. That brings me to the next thing - my family, obviously.. They are all healthy as well. They are all soooo good. Dan and I were kind of arguing - promise its the first time since we got married :)- and Bailee kept telling us to talk nice to each other. I am pretty sure we weren't yelling, but we were using tense voices and she knew. When it was time to say our prayers before Dan went to work, Dan asked Bai to say it and she said "I am too sad to say it 'puz you two weren't being nice to each other. You need to say sorry to each other." So we each had to apologize and things were better. Yesterday I washed Bai's sheets (she still hasn't mastered the no peeing at night yet) and when they were done, I said "your sheets are done being washed, Bai," and she ran into my arms and squeezed me yelling in my ear "Mom, you are the best mom in the whole world!" wow.. how blessed am I to have such a sweet daughter that does little things like that make me want to keep on keepin on. The Last thing I will bore who(m?)ever had the endurance to read this blog is about my husband. Dan is great. He is working so hard to try to make our lives easier. I don't understand how someone sooo good and hard working has to endure so many trials that hurt his confidence so much.. crap there I go being negative and complaining. sorry! He is so positive and loving to anyone. He really is so nonjudgmental and sees the best in people no matter what situation they are in at the moment. He took very good care of me while I was so sick and was willing to do whatever he needed to make me better. He gave Afton a father's blessing that night since she wouldn't calm down and I couldn't calm her down while I was shaking so bad from the fever and he came back and said, " I know you are really feeling lousy, but she needs you and I think she is tired enough that she may fall asleep if you just went in there for a little bit." I, obviously, being the pessimistic one, grumpily and dizzily stumbled into Afton's room. I stuck my hand through the crib slats and touched Afton's hand and she immediately curled up and started to fall asleep. Apparently, we both needed each other because 1 1/2 hours later I woke up curled up on the floor of her room and she was also sound asleep and slept the rest of the night. I love the priesthood and being able to have Dan here and willing to use it when needed. Alright I think that's enough for now. Life is a blessing and I do still love it and have fun. We get to go to the circus tonight so I am very excited for that. Thank you to everyone that has contributed to my great life and made it through this huge crazy post. I hope your lives are all doing well, also. Thank you Meg and Katie for getting me through my horrible sick day, it was good to know that I just had to make one phone call and you gals would be there as soon as possible.
